Danny “DJ” Lloyd Johnson, 60, died June 4, 2010.
A native of Calhoun Falls, he was the son of Bobbie Mae Bonds and the late Lloyd Johnson. He was retired from Skaps Industries in Commerce, GA and owned and operated Mulch and More in Calhoun Falls. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Gaye Johnson; daughters and sons-in-law, Danya and Brian Holmes of Abbeville and Jami and Eric Steifle of Calhoun Falls; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Shannon Sumner and Chris Sumner; 3 grandchildren who he loved very dearly, Thomas and Devon Holmes, Reghan Marie Steifle and Kaidence Sumner; sisters, Buckie Lunsford and Billie Faye James; and brother, Wayne Johnson.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held at 5PM Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Church. Reverends John Ingham, Barry Bryan and Steven “Slick” Evans will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Latimer Cemetery.
