Life Legacy
Jayne Shiflet Shirley, 51, of 3200 McCurley Street, Anderson, wife of James Hiram “Red” Shirley, died on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at AnMed Health Center.
Born on September 9, 1958 in Abbeville County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Roy, Sr. and Freida Mae McKinney Shiflet. Jayne was of the Church of God Faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Stephen Roy Evans; and a sister, Joyce Shiflet Hilley.
Survivors include her husband of 11 years, James Hiram “Red” Shirley; daughter, Crystal Pepper and her husband Charles; step-daughter, Miriam Reed; step-son, Stephen Shirley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Linda Shiflet and Richard and Noel Shiflet; and, brother-in-law, Ray Hilley. Nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010, at 11AM, from the Chapel of The Calhoun Falls Funeral Home with Mr. Bill Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Latimer Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10-11AM just prior to the service at Calhoun Falls Funeral Home.
Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
